my kitten is a female bengal 9 weeks old kitten.
She was born at May 10th, I got her at July 6th.
She was fine with her stools for a while. she had a few loose stools, but mostly she pooped healthy stools.
I brought her to vet for her first shot at July 9th, and brought her back home, and her diarrhea started.
Since then she pooped loose stools only, sometimes almost watery stool.
Luckily she is active and eats and plays, but she is NOT GAINING any weight.
I brought her back to the vet at July 13th, the vet gave her a 1/4 pill of antibiotic, saying she may have some infection, since then I am giving her this pill every 12 hours, but no improvement at all.
With the vet’s advice, I bought some wet food made for kitten, and bought some more gravy wet food in case she is not eating enough dry food, she liked the wet foods she ate, but the stool became even more watery. For about the gravy-chicken wet food, she almost pooped the chicken pieces undigested. After I saw it(24 hours after) I stopped giving it to her.
Since I bought her, I was giving her Proseries dry food for kitten(until yesterday, July 14th), but I thought it may be better to give her what she used to eat before, so I called the breeder and found she used to eat Purina Kitten Chow, so I changed her food to it. ( So it’s been only a day or so)
the stool looked like becoming a little firmer, but still she is pooping watery stool.
And she plays and be active, but looks like she is not 100% heathy to me. Healthy kitten should be more playful I think.
Some reasons she may have some stress,
1. Long travel
It was 7 hours driving when I first picked her up, maybe the stress still persist? but she pooped healthy stool for a few days before I brought her to the vet.
2. New Home and a new cat
This home is new, and I already have a cat(10times size of her, I will cut the details since it isnt the issue right now,bottom line is that they love each other. this kitten chases the big one and the big one grooms her.) And she likes me too.
The real concern is that she is not gaining any weight at all, and she is quite small for a 9 weeks kitten.
Her mother is a small cat too, so smaller than average size may be ok.
But she was 550g at July 9th, and she is still 560g at July 15th. when she has full stomach she weighs 600g. Apparently she didnt gain any weight since July 9th, for one week, as a 9 weeks old kitten….. I am so worried.
Maybe I should bring another stool sample to the vet? Maybe they made a mistake, or worm started to grow since then?
She is a small kitten, should I give her kitten milk with the dry food?
She likes wet food but it doesnt look like she digests well, should I still give her the wet food because she eats more wet food than dry food?
Please help me, I cant risk her health at danger anymore.

Ok, although I posted once before for this specific topic, I find that I must post again. I appreciated the advice that I received, to go the emergency room. Despite my lack of health insurance, I did that, and they wouldn’t even prescribe me a steroid as simple as prednisone – after begging and giving them several samples of nothing but blood and liquid, they gave me 30 days of Sulfasalizine and Folic Acid to go with it. This would typically be ideal, but it didn’t calm down anything.
Now, to be honest, I am on my laptop and writing from my anchor, the bathroom. I am out of here ten minutes tops, and in here for another twenty. Most times, I am not doing anything but plain bleeding into the toilet, and trust me – I’m a female who thinks farts are a riot and poop jokes are even funnier, but this is actually humiliating to have to ask.
HELP! I originally mentioned that I have lost so much weight my hipbones were disgustingly sticking out – well, now it’s getting even worse. My boyfriend doesn’t even like to touch me, and says I look anorexic. "Eewwww, gross…" yeah, that’s something you want to hear when all you want is a reassuring hug…
So, back to the whole hospital bit – when I went in there to the ER, they took my blood and told me I am extremely Anemic (I could have guessed that). They said I needed to be admitted immediately, and then when the billing person came in to ask me about insurance and all that, and found out that I have none – it was all they could do to get me out of there. Nice, right? I love American health systems (NOT)… and the people at PSU SHAC are also not helpful, because they don’t "deal with this type of stuff" and they refer me out into the community, whose patient rosters all are full, from the calls I have made.
Changing courses again – I resorted to buying Prednisone off of a friend. This is illegal, and I don’t give a crap at this point. I was desperate, and I just did it earlier tonight. I WANT TO STOP BLEEDING!!! Other things I tried were starting a raw food diet (although I rarely eat anything at all because I am scared to – every time I do, I cramp 5 minutes later and don’t stop bleeding for 20), aloe water, and acidophilus pills. I am starting to get headaches, blurred vision, and I am out of breath after 5 steps. I count twice in the past week I have fainted while in the bathroom, actually, and had to have my boyfriend, who is scared spitless at this point, carry me into the bedroom.
I am still in the bathroom, still writing… I’m desperate. I’m scared. I’ve been losing blood for 2 months, the hospital will not admit me when we all know I need it, and I dunno what to do. Yeah, and this is finals week – I don’t think I need to tell you how that has been going. My professors all understand, but they watch me like a criminal who is going to cheat when I leave the room.
I’ll give you the things that will help again – I am 24, female, full Italian ethnicity, university student, semi-stressful lifestyle, normally very athletic when I am well. I have Anemia, Asthma, Crohn’s, Hypoglycemia, and have been formally diagnosed Fibromyalgia. Yes, I actually do have it, it wasn’t a wrong diagnosis. Trust me, I went through a million tests, and I have had VERY slight loss of bone since diagnosis.

No raw food diet !! OWWIE when you’re flaring. You need to stick to white bland food. Rice, pasta (rice pasta is best over wheat based), potatoes. NO SAUCES/OILS. Drink broth if you can’t handle solids. NO DAIRY. Drink water if your tummy can handle it. Hot water with ginger is good. You can try veggies–broccoli, cauliflower, carrots–but they must be very steamed. I suggest only eating ONE type for a day to see if it irritates your bum.
I wish I could help you. I am so sorry. Also, if you are taking prednisone on your own be VERY careful. How much are you taking? YOU CAN NOT STOP TAKING IT!!! You must now taper it. If you were to suddenly stop taking it you could die. Please be careful.

I’ve asked quite a few questions about pregnancy before, and truthfully it’s because I’m very paranoid about it, and my boyfriend tells me I worry too much about it. And I honestly think I do.
But I would just like to get all of my worries resolved in this question to put my mind at ease hopefully.
The last time we had sex was about mid March. He was wearing a condom and I hadn’t missed any pills at all previous to it, and we didn’t fully finish. Then just shortly after wards, about a week before my period, we were messing about and he entered me but we didn’t have sex. Again I hadn’t missed any pills.
Everymonth since then I have had my period on time. It hasn’t been any lighter, it’s just the same as it’s always been and I still get cramps before it. I also haven’t felt nauseous at all really, give or take a random day or two through the months, but it just felt like a kind of normal light sickish feeling anybody could have. I haven’t had any particular cravings either. Last month I also had pains in my stomach that felt like cramps for a couple of weeks before my period, I went to the doctor about it and he said it was ovulation pains. He sent away a urine sample and it came back normal. I know that you can’t ovulate and be pregnant at the same time.
However I have noticed that I’ve put on a little bit of weight, maybe just a couple of pounds or that over the months, but I don’t know if it’s just down to what I’m eating. I believe I may have slight "love handles" now, but I don’t know if you get them when you are pregnant or not ;p
What I really want to know is, out of all I’ve told you, what you think the REAL chances are that I could be pregnant. Do you think the doctor would have noticed in my urnine sample if I was pregant, for example if there was an increase in certain hormones? What are the chances of me being pregnant with my period? Do you know the statistics of how many women get their proper period whilst pregnant, is it rare? And if anybody else has felt paranoid like me that they are pregant, when they really haven’t been at all?
I know I should really go out and buy a pregnancy test, but I’m still young and I will get one once I pluck up the courage to do so.
